About Francesca

Francesca Conforti is a Toronto-based ceramic artist whose work explores the relationship between the handmade, the natural world, and the rituals of everyday life.

Working primarily in clay, Francesca creates functional and sculptural pieces that are tactile, organic, and intentionally imperfect. Her work moves between objects made to be held and used and pieces created simply to be lived alongside. She is drawn to forms that feel earthy and familiar, while still carrying a sense of curiosity and quiet strangeness.

Her practice is rooted in the belief that ordinary objects can hold meaning. A cup can become part of a morning ritual. A vessel can become a small reminder to slow down. A sculptural form can invite us to look a little longer.

Francesca's work is informed by her broader interest in wellness, nature, symbolism, and the ways we create meaning through ritual. This perspective also shapes her work through Amanita Haus, her creative practice exploring handmade clothing, herbals, and objects for everyday ritual.

Each piece is made by hand in small quantities, with variations in shape, texture, glaze, and colour that make every object distinctly its own.

Thank you for being here and for making space for handmade things.
